Brenin Crom — “The Bowed/Bent King” — is a characterful 70" recurve bow shaped entirely by hand, guided by traditional methods and the natural form of the wood.
38 lbs draw at 28 inches (17 kg draw at 71 cm)
Formed from a laminate of lemonwood and hickory, the limbs offer a smooth, responsive draw with a lively cast. The recurve profile provides added performance while maintaining a balanced, controlled feel in the hand.
A hand-shaped black walnut riser brings both visual depth and stability to the bow, creating a comfortable and confident grip. The contrast between pale limbs and dark riser gives Brenin Crom a quiet, commanding presence.
Every stage of the bow’s construction is carried out using hand tools alone—no power tools—allowing subtle variations in the wood to influence the final form. This results in a bow that feels alive, rather than manufactured.
The surface is sealed with multiple coats of natural beeswax and buffed by hand, enhancing the grain while preserving a tactile, organic finish.
Supplied ready to shoot with a hand-made Dacron string, served at the loops and nocking point.
Maker’s Note:
I’ve been crafting bows since 2008 using only hand tools. Each piece reflects that approach—no shortcuts, just time and material.
This is a one-off handmade bow. No two are identical.
Matching leather bracers are available in my shop.
