The 70" Hafren (pronounced HAV-ren) is a clean, flowing recurve bow named for the ancient River Severn, reflecting its smooth draw and balanced performance.

40 lbs draw at 28 inches (18 kg draw at 71 cm).

Crafted from white maple, the limbs are shaped and tillered by hand to produce an even, responsive cast. The recurve profile enhances energy return while maintaining a controlled and forgiving shooting experience. These limbs are protected by a durable rawhide backing.

A red oak riser provides warmth and contrast, offering a stable and comfortable grip in use. Subtle decorative detailing adds a light, individual character without overwhelming the natural beauty of the materials.

Each bow is made entirely by hand using traditional tools. No power tools are used at any stage of construction, allowing the natural form and character of the wood to guide the final result.

Finished with natural beeswax and hand-buffed to a soft sheen, the bow retains a tactile, organic feel while being well protected for regular use.

Supplied ready to shoot with a hand-served Dacron string.

Maker’s Note:

Each bow is shaped by hand, guided by the material itself. This results in subtle variations that make every piece unique.

Only one available.
